For contour cutting, choose the blade width in such a way that the smallest required radius can be accomplished. The diagram below assists you in choosing the right blade width.

Tooth settings of a bandsaw blade

• Standard tooth setting
• Tooth set right-left : This setting is used with mono-toothing. The set order is right-left-straight or right-left.
• Group tooth setting : One group of tooth tips is set to the right, another group to the left, and one tooth remains straight.
• Combi-setting : In one teeth group a straight tooth follows several teeth with right-left setting. The diagram shows a group of 7 teeth. Depending on the tooth pitch, a teeth group can have different designs.
• Wave tooth set : The set order has a wave form.
